Die schwedische Schönheit mit ihrem charakteristischen Hinterteil ist am 01. Juli 1953 erstausgeliefert worden und blieb 50 Jahre in erster Hand, bis sie 2003 ein Volvo-Enthusiast erwarb und umfangreich restaurieren ließ. Er war Mitglied im Volvoclub und hat mit dem Fahrzeug an vielen Club-Aktivitäten und Ausfahrten teilgenommen. Selbstverständlich wurde der stets zuverlässige Wagen akribisch gepflegt und gewartet. 2006 kaufte ein Sammler klassischer Fahrzeuge den Buckel-Volvo. Ohne ihn zuzulassen unternahm er damit (mit 07er-Kennzeichen) in den folgenden Jahren nur ab und zu kleine Fahrten zu Oldtimertreffen im bayerischen Voralpenland.
Man merkt dem PV 444 an, dass er stets gepflegt und gewartet worden ist. Die Karosserie befindet sich in gutem Zustand ohne erkennbare Korrosionsschäden. Lack und Chrom sind sehr gut erhalten. Der Innenraum ist gepflegt, der Sitzbezug des Fahrersitzes stellenweise ausgebessert. Die Technik des Fahrzeugs ist ohne erkennbare Mängel.
Es liegt ein Gutachten vor, das den Gesamtzustand mit der Zustandsnote 2 festlegt. Die Abnahme zum H-Kennzeichen ist erfolgt.
Dieser äußerst stimmige Volvo PV 444 (D) hat durch seinen guten Zustand, seine Authentizität und die schöne Farbgebung eine ganz besonders charmante Ausstrahlung.
