1990 Aston Martin Lagonda Series IV The Antepenultimate Car Produced (RHD)

Finished in Rolls-Royce Royal Blue metallic coachwork with Connelly Parchment hide piped Blue. Blue Wilton carpets leather bound, Blue top role, fitted lambs wool over rugs and a Champagne suede headlining finish off this exquisite cockpit.

Supplied new via agents Five Oaks Garage Guernsey on 24th May 1990 and delivered new to Mrs J B Brooks of Saviour Guernsey, registered 58614. During Mrs Brooks 8 year ownership of the car it was solely maintained by Aston Martin Lagonda limited, fast forward to 1998 AML were instructed to import the vehicle into the UK and make all preparations to road register for the mainland. Over the course of the next 26 years the car has had a further 4 owners. The maintenance has been carried out regardless of any expense by the best in the business. Since 2015 the vehicle has been part of an exciting and extensive private collection and the car has been solely serviced by Works Service.

The ultimate Grand Tourer of the decade, the Lagonda is a combination of British hand built craftsmanship from start to finish over the period of seven months. Unparalleled design, flair, luxury and supercar performance to rival the ‘best of Moderna’. Behind the wheel the dashboard is totally unique with the fitment of vacuum fluorescents (VF) offering high tech visuals never seen before. The cockpit benefits with every conceivable luxury of its day: air conditioning, cruise control, four quartz-halogen headlights with twin spot lamps, fully electric driver and passenger seats, full tinted panoramic rear glass panel. At the heart of the car was the newly designed V585 Efi V8 power plant which was available also in the V8 Coupe and also Volante. Straight lane performance it covered a top speed in excess of 140MPH and 0-60MPH in less than 8 seconds for a vehicle north of 2 tonnes which made the Lagonda a very capable outside lane cruiser.

When production finished in 1990 these Series IV cars where £33,390.01 more expensive than its nearest rival the Rolls Royce Silver Spirit II and just under £20,000 more then the flag ship V8 Vantage X-Pack making the Lagonda the ‘King of the Road’. Production spanned over two decades from 1978 when unveiled to the world to 1990 when the final car ran off the Tickford Street production line with a grand total of 642 cars built worldwide in both left and right hand drive. This example being last of line IV Series benefits from a number of technical and cosmetic refreshments. Produced over a 3 year period where just 106 vehicles were built. This example is the 3rd from last and the only Rolls-Royce Royal Blue with Parchment car – making this truly a special opportunity.

Accompanied by its original book pack with factory supplied service booklet, Swaine Adeney fitted touring luggage – trimmed in dark blue to match the coachwork, tool role, fitted soft cover embossed Lagonda plus original press brochure on file – it does not get better than this!

Aston Martin, einer der bekanntesten britischen Sportwagen-Hersteller, wurde 1913 von Lionel Martin und Robert Bamford gegründet. Während seiner wechselFinanzGeschichte hat das Unternehmen zahlreiche Eigentümer über die Gesellschaft, die sich hatten, Sir David Brown, nur um einen zu nennen.
Zwischen den Kriegen Bertelli störte technischer Direktor und Designer aller neuen Aston Martins, also als "Bertelli Autos" bekannt. Dazu gehörten die 1 ½-Liter-"T-Typ", "International", "Le Mans", "MKII" seiner Rennversion, der "Ulster" und die 2-Liter-15/98 und seine Rennen gehen Derivat, das "Speed Modell ".
In den Kriegsjahren produzierte das Unternehmen Flugzeugkomponenten.
Im Jahre 1947 wurde Aston empfohlen und damit von Sir David Brown gespeichert. Überteuert erwarb das Unternehmen Lagonda im selben Jahr die ITS 2,6-Liter-Bentley WO gestaltete Motor. Beide Unternehmen gemeinsam genutzte Ressourcen und Workshops Schaffung der ikonenhaften DB-Serie von Autos. Im Jahr 1950 präsentierte sie die DB2, Gefolgt von der DB2 / 4 in 1953, DB2 / 4 Mk II im Jahr 1955, im Jahr 1957 die DB Mark III.
DB4 Mit seinen starken italienischen Geschmack und Bau wurde im Jahre 1958 eingeführt wurde, war die leichte Superleggera (Rohr-Rahmen) Carrozzeria Touring Körper in Mailand entworfen. Obwohl die Konstruktion und den Bau Techniken waren Italiener, die DB4 war der erste Aston gebaut bei der Firma Newport Pagnell arbeitet in Buckinghamshire, England werden. Die Sechszylinder-Motoren dieser Fahrzeuge von 1954 bis 1965 wurden von Tadek Marek konzipiert. Trotz anfänglicher Probleme mit Rissbildung Motorblöcke DB4 war ein Erfolg, der wirklich den Mann zusammen mit seiner späteren Derivate DB5 Gegründet von James Bond Goldfinger Ruhm und zivilisierter DB6 Grand-Tourer.
