Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1967 Fiat 850 Spider! Pushing into the mid-60s Fiat was looking to replace their aging 600 model. The design team set to work and the 850 was born. Offered in two versions at first, the normale and super. Variants would follow such as: Special, Familiare, Coupé, and the Spider. What we have here is the ladder. As you walk around this little Fiat you will quickly notice it is very clean. Understandable considering it has been stored in a sealed bubble. This car also only has 11k miles on the odometer and is believed to be original. Even the title supports the claim. The Fly Yellow paint looks great with a nice luster. The black vinyl interior hardly looks used and certainly complements the tone of the car. This car has been subjected to a massive 3+ year restoration and modification. This 850 was converted from a convertible to a roadster; top and wipers were removed. Welding and filling used to shut tonneau and panel gaps. Original motor was removed and higher powered 1050cc motor was added form the Fiat 127 series. Transmission was removed is now a 4-speed semi-automatic "Idromatic" with torque converter. Radiator was relocated to the front and steel wheels replaced with Wider alloys. During this time all components were removed and all body panels were "dip-stripped" down to bare metal. Panels were reassembled, adjusted and repaired where necessary. No accidental damage was discovered. Other items replaced were: springs and shocks, hubs, brake system, fuel system, fluid lines, cooking system, wiring harness, windshield, steering wheel and interior panels, headlight, parking lights and taillights units. Also new rubber seals, gaskets, oil seals, bushings, bearings, boots, belts, cables, brackets, battery, voltage regulator, etc. For the paint it was primed, undercoated, and sealed, painted with multiple coats of bright Fly Yellow Enamel. All work completed by LRC Motorcars, Inc. out of Louisville, KY with a total cost over $100k. Current owner has all restoration receipts. Current owner has had her for over 30 years, acquired from a private owner. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! This is one of the nicest, if not thee nicest Fiat we have had folks, don't miss your chance on this awesome car! Options on this Fiat are: Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Alloy Wheels and Radial Tires.
