GAZ 21 Volga Very rare, nice drivers condition 1970

Allgemeine Beschreibung : We rarely have a GAZ car on offer. GAZ is a Russian car manufacturer. It started production in 1929 as NNAZ, a joint venture between Ford and the Soviet Union. The name was changed when the town it was made in, Nizjni Novgorod was renamed after Maksim Gorki. After a few years of adversity the factory build was completed in 1931 and production started on Ford Model T’s. GAZ currently makes (mini) buses, trucks and construction vehicles as well as passenger cars since 2012 under license of Volkswagen AG. The GAZ M21 stayed in production from 1956 to 1970. Our 1970 M21 Volga is one of last produced models. It currently holds a Dutch registration. It has straight 2,445 cc 4 cylinder engine developing 63KW/85Hp. The car’s condition is good and quite authentic. The interior trim was replaced at some stage in the past and is in a good and well-preserved state. The dashboard appears to be original and clocks and fittings have a correct patina. The car has been re-sprayed and other than a few small marks has a lovely lustre. Underneath the car all is solid and totally rust-free. One does not often encounter these cars and despite a total production run of over a million, it has become a rare and welcome phenomenon.
