This is not your average build but a real continuation of the original Cobra by the Shelby factory itself. At the start of the nineties Carrol Shelby decided to take up the production of the Cobra again with the introduction of the 4000 series also known as “the continuation cars” This actual car known as CSX 4996 has the dream configuration. It is not only the 1965 chassis and hand build original Shelby body. This example also features the Shelby 452 V8 (7.4 litre) Racing Engine build by the Carrol Shelby Engine Company. This motor cranks out an incredible 525 HP on the wheels. This is breath taking power! This means this Cobra features not 1 but 2 CSX numbers. This engine is backed up by a modern manual transmission which ensures more comfort at highway speeds. Needless to say, this Electric blue finished 1965 Shelby Cobra V8 is in superb overall condition optically as well as technically. This Cobra comes with an extensive owner and service history in which you will find all official certificates for chassis, body, and engine. The history and recent taxation report can be reviewed on request. The car was autographed by Carroll Shelby himself which was preserved for the future.
