A beautifully Proprotioned 2 door coupe by noted coach builders Barker. This car has resided in a prominent Italian collecion for several decades & is in simply lovely yet very originbal condition throughout.
The car is finished in very tidy old English white paintwork which works particularly well with this particular elegant body style. To the interior is original Black leather with black door cards & piano black wood work. Under the bonnet the engine bay is in time warp, albeit well maintained order. The car starts readily & runs very quietly. It has for many years been maintained by a nearby classic car specialist. The car has won an assortment of prizes over the years at the various places it has been shown.
Currently near Lucca in Italy it will be available for viewing with us once it has fulfilled a family obligation. Viewings can be arranged by prior appointment at the estate in Italy where it currently resides. It has been used regularly but sparingly over the years & maintained without regard to expense.

Hélène Beaumont (1894-1988) was one of the great figures of the Cote d'Azur. She and her husband Louis Dudley Beaumont (1857-1942) were among the founders of the glamorous social lifestyle of the French Riviera during the pre-war era and are also remembered for their extreme generosity.
After a short career as an opera singer, the then Hélène Thomas, married Louis Dudley Beaumont, an American entrepreneur and one of the founders of the May Company, one of the most important department store chains in the United States. Louis Dudley changed his name from Schonenberg to Beaumont one moving to France, he became one of the first patrons of aviation. The Beaumont's moved to Cap-d'Antibes, to the Villa Eilenroc, one of the most beautiful villas in the Rivera. They decorated the interior with the finest 18th century French furniture, much of it acquired at the great Rothschild sales in England in the 1920s. The contents of the Villa Eilenroc were sold at Sotheby's Monte Carlo in December 1992.
The magnificent collection of jewels in the Beaumont collection was of such a quality that they could be compared to those of the Duchess of Windsor, both modern and contemporary designs are favoured providing a magnificent record of the development in style of the fine jewels of the time.

1931 Bentley togs över British Central Equitable Förtroende som senare visade sig vara en front för Rolls-Royce Limited. Missnöjd med sin roll på Rolls-Royce, W.O.
