The V8, rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame platform that vehicles like this offer is quite literally a thing of the past and this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS for sale was the last year that General Motors offered this traditional combination in a car. Behind the 5.7L LT1 V8 in this Impala is a 4-speed automatic transmission. When the 1994 Impala SS was introduced, you could have it in any color you wanted, if you wanted black; but for 1995 and 1996, Chevrolet added two more colors: Dark Cherry, and Dark Green Gray Metallic (DGGM). In its final year, roughly 1/4 of these cars were DGGM, so this color is the rarest of the three. These cars are essentially manufactured sleepers, as most people would not expect them to pack the punch that they do. The interior of this SS is a welcoming gray leather and includes creature comforts you'd expect from a family-hauling sedan such as air conditioning, power seats, a CD player, cruise control, power locks, and power windows.
