Allmän beskrivning : For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a numbers matching 1973 Ford F350 Super Camper Special with 83,408 original miles on the body and under 1,000 on the rebuilt original engine. The sixth generation which ran from 1972-1979 was the last to utilize the F series chassis introduced in 1965. To help fight corrosion Ford chose to use galvanized steel metal, for this reason the sixth generation is known for its body panel durability, and this 73' F350 is no exception. In 1973 Ford offered a new model, the F350 SRW (Single Rear Wheel) pickup. The ideal customer base for this model were contractors and camping enthusiast. These trucks had a longer wheelbase chassis but were the same overall length as the F100 and F250 pickup. By ordering the combination of the F350 SRW and the Camper Special in 1973 you would get the Super Camper Special. This package was intended for the heavier slide-in campers, which were being introduced at the that time. Options on this 73' F350 Super Camper Special include: Air Conditioning, AM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Hub Cups, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, In-Bed Spare Tire, Dual Gas Tanks, Electric Trailer Brakes, and Class IV Trailer Hitch. Equipped with a 390 CID 6.4 L V8 that has a fresh rebuild and is bored .030 over, this Super Camper Special also has a 3 speed automatic transmission and 4:10 gears in the rear end. There are custom upgrades from the 1st owner who was a welder by trade, removable side rails for the bed, and removable swing out step pads for each door.
