Here we have a 1989 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. This car is in excellent condition and is showing under 87K miles on it. It has a Clean Car Fax with no accident history and the mileage all checks out to be the correct original miles. When you walk around it you can see that the body is solid and that all the body lines flow beautifully. It's covered in Black that has been buffed and polished to a gorgeous shine and is accented by the Red stripe. This is a GT model so you will notice it has the ground effects along with the front fog lights. The convertible top is done in Black, is in great condition, and is Power operated. To finish the exterior look it's sitting on set of 18” American Racing Wheels with 245/40 tires on the front and 275/40 Tires on the rear.
Next, we will look at the interior. On the inside it's done in the Black and Gray two tone color scheme. The seats have been upgraded to the next generation seats with the Mustang Embossed in the Front Buckets. It comes with Power Windows and Power Door Locks. All the glass is in phenomenal condition with the side glass being original to the car. Looking at the dash you can see that all the gauges are in excellent condition and working as they should including the tach. The factory radio is also working along with the Power Mirrors. This Mustang does have cruise control which is working as well. Inside the trunk has all been well cared for and is in great condition.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of the Ford. Under the hood it's powered by the 5.0L V-8 engine. As you'll notice everything has been well cared for and holds true to how it would have been when new. The 5.0L V8 is mated to the 5 Speed Manual Trans that is smooth through the gears. The clutch also feels to be in great condition. This Mustang comes with Power Brakes with Disc on the Front and Drums on the Rear. The '89 model runs on the fox platform with a modified MacPherson strut front suspension with roll bar, rack and pinon steering, and four link coil spring rear suspension. When you look under it you can see this car has been extremely well cared for as everything is rock solid. On the highway it's even more impressive as it runs, drives, and handles phenomenal.

Mustang var så populär tävlingen var tvungen att följa Fords exempel och ponycar fenomenet tog över USA. Under åren ponnyer växte några muskler tills oljekrisen döda äntligen dödat dem.

På sextiotalet rusade Ford i internationell motorsport scenen med en raseri. Efter misslyckade Ferrari övertagande, då Enzo Ferrari hade klippt affären av med Henry Ford II gör det senare absolut koka av vrede, vände Ford till Lola i Storbritannien för att producera en Ferrari slog långdistans racer efter. Samarbetet mellan Ford och Lola skapade den mäktiga Ford GT40 som absolut slog Ferrari i Le Mans 24 flera gånger.

I Europa införde Ford några av de mest episka race och rallybilar av 60-talet som bygger på ödmjuka familj sedaner; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, och Escort 1600RS med de ikoniska Cosworth BDA motorer.
