AMC Other 258 cid. 1977

General description : Gremlin X! Original 258ci I6, Auto, PB, PS, A/C, Plaid Interior, Alpine White!
1977 AMC Gremlin X
VIN: A7A467C279683
The previous owner of this '77 Gremlin purchased the car in August of 2008 in Tucson, AZ. They only drove the car on weekends and to the occasional car show, keeping the miles and wear on the car to a minimum. The exhaust, engine seal, chrome, bright work and cosmetics have been redone. This is an excellent example of a Gremlin that has been well preserved and treated with love. Most examples of this car were daily driven and beat up, not this one! Don't miss out on your chance to own this one of a kind collector. Call us today and let VMS park your dream in your driveway!

About AMC
AMC was created on 14 january 1954 when Nash-Kelvinator Corporation & Hudson Motor Car Company merged, soon becoming one of the four major manufacturers in the market and finally the last independent car manufacturer in the United States.

At the beginning company specialized in small cars and slowly moved to the medium-sized category.

AMC acquired the loss-making Jeep division from Kaiser-Frazer in 1970 and turned the Jeep brand into anew growth.

In the late 70's AMC expanded its range of four-wheel drive passenger car with AMC Eagle, which soon proved to be very popular, especially among young people. Helped by the fact that The AMC Eagles were the only four-wheel-drive passenger cars produced in the U.S. at the time.

1987 the Chrysler Corporation acquired the entire share equity of American Motors Corporation.
The following year, Chrysler ended all the AMC passenger car production, but the victorious Jeep brand. Here are some of their most significant models:

Rambler: The Rambler was introduced in 1950 and was the first car to be sold under the AMC brand. It was a compact car designed for economy and practicality, and it quickly became popular due to its low price and fuel efficiency.
AMC Javelin: The Javelin was a sporty, two-door coupe that was introduced in 1968. It was designed to compete with the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro and was praised for its unique styling and powerful V8 engine.
AMC Gremlin: The Gremlin was a subcompact car that was introduced in 1970. It was known for its quirky styling, compact size, and fuel efficiency, and it was one of the first American-made cars to be designed with fuel economy in mind.
AMC Pacer: The Pacer was a unique, compact car that was introduced in 1975. It was known for its large windows and bubble-like design, which made it stand out from other cars on the road. Although it was not a commercial success, it remains a popular collector's car today.
AMC Eagle: The Eagle was a four-wheel-drive crossover that was introduced in 1980. It was one of the first vehicles to combine the features of an SUV with a passenger car, and it was praised for its off-road capabilities and versatility.
