Chevrolet 3100 350 V8 1950

General description : 1950 Chevrolet 3100 3 Window Pickup This is a rare opportunity to not only get a solid project but all of the stuff you need to complete it!  Typically when starting the search for a restoration car you will spend a ton of time finding the perfect starter car.  You want something that needs to be redone obviously but isn't so far gone that it is beyond repair, eaten up with rust, etc.  Once you find the car then it comes time to start making a list of what needs.  Then once your list is done the hunt for parts beings!  Just getting to that starting point could take a year and then of course you still need to put it together!  Well skip all the hassle and with one purchase you will get the vehicle, a list of what it needs and practically all the parts to do it.  What is even better is things like the fenders it comes with have already been painted!  This classic is being brought to us by Sons of Thunder.  They started the restoration project but due to a lot of other projects on the list taking priority the truck isn't getting done.  So instead of letting it just sit they decided it was time to give it up so someone else can enjoy this cool old pickup and give it the attention it deserves.  It is a 1950 Chevrolet 3100 3 Window pickup that needs a little TLC.  It is currently coated in green and the body needs some work but guess what, all the panels it needs to make it right are included with the purchase! That includes a door, front fender, rear fender, and running boards. 1-24-18 UPDATE!  Since being listed the truck has continued to have some work done with it.  That includes installation of the repainted tailgate, new tailgate chains, new front/rear chrome bumpers, new glass with seals and more.  The rear cab corners have also been repaired and a new gas tank installed under the bed.  All of that with NO change in price!! Under the hood is a 350 V8 that runs strong.  It wasn't up in our pictures but does have chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner up top.  It is paired with a 400 automatic transmission which sends power back to the 12 bolt rear end.  The truck runs and drives fine so it is mainly the cosmetic stuff that you would have to worry about.  That being said you could throw the gauges in it (which come with the pickup) and drive it as a rat rod pickup as is.  Other things that come with it include a new wiring kit, bolt kits and headliner.  The interior is unfinished but the original steel dash with all the trim is still there.  It hasn't been cut at all so all of the original components should fit easily in place.  The bench seat is covered with Burgundy upholstery with all the other surfaces being currently bare. You are getting a lot for your money with this purchase so it won't be available for long! SOLD

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
