Chevrolet C10 1956

General description : Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one awesome pickup, the 1956 Chevrolet 3100. Such a modified piece of art that's it amazing that the style of these trucks ever changed. Chevrolet has produced full sized pickup trucks under many nameplates and platforms. Almost all Chevrolet branded vehicles were also available under the GMC brand as well. From 1955 to 1959, There were actually two versions of the Chevy pickups in 1955. The First Series was a carryover, the new models were the Second Series and were labeled the Task Force model due to its aggressive lines and sharp looks. The Chevrolet Task Force was Chevrolet's successor to the Advance Design trucks. The Task Force Series ran from late 1955, as the second series, through 1959. At GMC locations, it was called the Blue Chip Series. 1956 offered standard options and some very important add-ons such as 12-volt electrical systems, the first V8 (the 265 cubic inch), and fleet-side six, seven and eight-foot length beds. Now the restoration took a different turn on this particular truck and as you can tell, this is the original task force Chevy for sale. Powered by a monster 350CI V8 from RamJet Performance. Backing the heart is a 700R4 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. A static suspension lowering kit make this truck feel like a Corvette and with the power plant it has, it may out run and out corner a few. Lathered in an amazing Viper Blue Metallic paint, this truck makes sure everyone knows, its not just go, but also show. A full coil over suspension compliments the big 4 wheel disk brakes and the wheels, well lets just say that's the bow that ties this package together. Options on this awesome 1956 Chevrolet 3100 pickup for sale include: A/C, am/fm/dvd, leather seats, seat belts, power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, power windows and custom aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in performance radial tires. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
