General description : 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza The Corvair was introduced by Chevrolet in 1960 as a response to the Volkswagen Beetle.  It remains the only mass produced American made car with a rear air cooled engine.  It was named to pay homage to the Corvette and famous Bel Air.  They have a dedicated following with clubs being entirely dedicated to the Corvair.  1965 was the first year of the 2nd generation and saw both technological improvements and exterior changes.  This Monza is a very stock style car that runs out well.  It has been repainted in the past but was done in its original Gold color.  The exterior chrome and trim are all in good shape with a nice shine.  The stock headlights and taillights all work properly with no issues.  The glass is all good and the windshield is tinted.  It rides on its original wheels and hubcaps with fresh thin white wall tires.  It is powered by its rear engine 160 cubic inch 2.7L opposed 6 cylinder motor.  It recently received a full tune up and starts up smooth and runs well.  It is paired with a 2 speed powerglide that utilizes a in dash shifter.  The suspension and brakes are all the stock set up and all functioning properly.  Below is a break down of some of the stock specifications.    The interior of the car is all brand new and in excellent condition.  It is the stock style and Tan color.  It has new Black Chevrolet floor mats to help protect the brand new carpet.  The split front bench seat features headrests and lap belts.  The dash has a stock look and is painted in a Beige and Dark Brown color combination.  It has all of its original gauges, controls, and FM stereo which all work.  Up front is the cars trunk which is where you will find the dual master cylinder and plenty of storage space.  In addition to extra parts and receipts it comes with a Corvair shop manual.  This cool classic driver could be yours for NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $11,500.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
