1958 Chevrolet Corvette What made the '58 Corvette stand out? The Vette for '58 had an all-new look starting with four chrome-rimmed headlights, and fender length chrome strips between each pair. The hood is decorated with imitation louvers. The grille has four fewer vertical bars than the previse '57. Three horizontal chrome strips make the side covers standout. Highly sought after vertical chrome bars that trim the trunk. The need for more pop was made possible with wraparound front and rear bumpers that are larger and heavier than the '57. Let's not stop at the exterior the interior also got changed dramatically with an all-new look starting with the gauges clustered together in front of the driver. This alone gave the race cockpit feel. A center console with radio, fan, temp, and air controls that flow to the shifter. The passenger assist bar that tells this Corvette was made to go! This is what makes the '58 one of the most collectable of the Corvettes. This '58 is running a built 327ci with lots of chrome. So, open the hood for the crowd. A 4-speed manual transmission gives that thrill of driving an American sports car. The original 283ci is available and goes with sale. Block hugger headers and dual exhaust give that proper growl we all expect to hear. Running all stock suspension. The classic red and white paint is what most demand to see. All the chrome and trim are in place. This is an unrestored '58 Corvette. The red has had a repaint at some point. None of the chrome has been replaced. This is a perfect daily driver.
