Chevrolet Custom 305 V8 1941

General description : 1941 Chevrolet Custom Sedan While the 40's Chevrolets still had remnants of the previous decades look there were some redesigns that started to be incorporated like the single piece grill and slightly more incorporated fenders which would continue until finally reaching the more box style of vehicle in the 50s.  Due to the war this look was prevalent throughout the 40's as the cars weren't really redesigned again until 49/50.  This cool '41 has a great look and is done in the restomod, street rod style.  The body has been completely shaved of the exterior hardware giving it a nice clean look.  It also has been modified with a frenched license plate and frenched power antenna.  Since the door handles have been shaved off electric poppers were added to gain access to the interior.  It is painted in a slick Yellow paint which has a really nice finish.  The original bumpers have been removed and custom built Bowtie bumpers added in their place.  The rear bumper is removable and when out of place exposes a trailer hitch should you want to combine this street rod with a small trailer for travel or car show gear.  The front grill utilizes the original outside shape but is a custom billet grill which looks great.  All of the glass is tinted and on the front windshield billet electric wipers were added.  In the back windshield a 3rd taillight was installed which is a nice addition to these street rods and greatly improves visibility.  The car has a great stance and rides on a set of custom wheels with a wide tire in the back.  Getting the car rolling is a 305 V8 motor that is nicely built up with Edelbrock valve covers, billet air cleaner, spark plug wire looms, and all billet brackets.  The firewall is painted to match the body and all the hoses/brake booster are mounted on brushed aluminum sections.  The motor is backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission that shifts well with no issues and moves power to the 10 bolt posi rear end.  Up front the car has a disc brake conversion and all are power assisted. It also has power steering making it a very comfortable car to drive around.  It has parallel leaf spring suspension and a later model Camaro front clip.  It has dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.  There is a power disconnect switch to help keep the battery  from being drained in between drives. The interior is done in a Gray cloth that is in good condition.  It has dual bucket seats up front separated by a custom center console.  The door panels feature custom billet window/door cranks and an arm rest.  The dash has the original style layout but has been upgraded with aftermarket white faced VDO gauges.  A custom under dash section was built to house the Sony AM/FM/CD/USB stereo with remote as well as mount the Vintage AC system.  In front of the driver is a tilt column and topped with a custom steering wheel.  The trunk is all carpeted and is where you would fill it with gas and also access the relocated battery.  This car also has the classic OOGA horn. This cool street rod runs great and is a good driver.  It was set up to look good rolling down the road and be driven comfortably along the way.    Get this custom Street Rod for $29,500.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
