Exquisite 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline 4 Door Sedan New to our Fairfield showroom is this exquisite 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline 4 Door Sedan with Black Berry Pearl exterior paint and a grey cloth interior. It features a 350 CI small block Chevy V-8 engine under the hood with a Camaro front clip, a Z28 rear end, American Mag wheels and a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This one is also nicely optioned with Vintage A/C, power windows, a JVC sound system, front bucket seating and dozens of customizations. Endless Customizations & Sensational Curb Appeal The current owner of this 1948 Chevy Fleetline Sedan purchased it back in 1995 and had it completely restored that same year. The build included shaved door handles, frenched head/tail lights, Briz bumpers, a custom dashboard with Dakota Digital gauges, Billet tilt column steering, plus fiberglass rear fenders, a pancaked welded tilt hood and too many other customizations to fully list. This amazing vehicle was built to be shown and it has incredible curb appeal, from the mirror-like chrome work and custom paint to the comfortable interior. In terms of its current condition, this 1948 Chevy Fleetline had the engine rebuilt approximately 3,200 miles ago and it drives nicely on the open road. The actual body has held up nicely over the years as well, with only very minor blemishes visible at a close inspection. The interior also shows minimal wear so this one can serve as an amazing daily driver that can be shown locally with pride. Only 3,200 Miles on Rebuilt Small Block Engine Overall, this 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline 4 Door Sedan is an outstanding classic vehicle that looks amazing and drives like a champ. It is an absolute steal since the asking price does not cover the customizations alone, so do not expect for this one to remain available for long. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
