Chevrolet Impala 327 V8 1963

General description : 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible The Chevrolet Impala was first released in 1958 and from then until 1965 was Chevrolets most expensive passenger model vehicle.  That didn't slow sales though because it was also the best selling auto in the US during that time.  The Impala was top of the line coming equipped with all of the luxury options and trim available.  While the Biscaynes and other models are still popular they do not hold up in the market nearly as well as the Impala.  This 1963 Impala is a true super sport convertible and looks great.  The Burgundy paint has a beautiful shine and looks perfect compared with the power White cloth top.  Custom pinstriping was added around the whole vehicle with custom designed around the door handle which create a very cool custom look.  All of the exterior trim and chrome look great with a beautiful shine and no pitting.  These cars featured the iconic dual headlights and triple taillights in the back which are in place and working properly.  Under all four corners are very nice True Spoke wheels with knock off style center caps that looks great on the car.  These are wrapped with thin white wall Hancook P215/75R14 tires.  Under the hood the car is packing a rebuilt 327 V8 motor that runs great.  The engine compartment has a factory appearance with the firewall and inner fenders painted Black.  The motor is mostly painted Red but is topped off with M/T valve covers and a chrome circle air cleaner.  Backing up the engine is a 2 speed powerglide transmission that moves through the gears with no issues.  The power steering system is a nice feature to have and it is functioning properly as well.   The interior of the car is done in a two tone Burgundy and White which looks great.  It has bucket seats up front which sit to each side of the factory SS center console.  This console houses the shifter plus extra storage space and features the same engine turned trim pieces which are found on the dash.  The gauges, knobs, switches are all original and the dash has mostly a factory layout except for the aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette player.  Pinstriping accents the passenger side of the dash to bring in that touch of custom on the inside.  This cool classic has a great look and being an Impala SS it will never go out of style.  A cool classic in your garage for the reduced price of $53,500.00 $43,500.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
