Chevrolet K10 Pickup Truck 1979

General description : What do you get when you combine the timeless aesthetics of one of America's pre-eminent blue collar heroes with a roster of some of the best performance hardware money can buy? Well, you get a highly capable workhorse that shatters preconceptions, expectations and urbane enthusiasts' egos 'like a rock'! Mixing the universal appeal of all-American style with the road going prowess of a detailed restoration, this retro chic Square Body is one super cool resto-mod. What's better: you can own and drive this exclusive head turner for a fraction of the money and time it takes to complete a ground-up build. Are you an anxious buyer who's tired of the 'garage furniture' culture that seems to pervade the collector car hobby? This sweet Chevy is one of the coolest road-ready classics your money can buy!
MAKING SEAFOAM COOL AGAIN
Polished, sorted and ready to rock and roll, this super clean Chevy is the beneficiary of a detailed, frame-off restoration that marries solid sheetmetal with quality R-M two-stage. That gloss manifests as a delightful combination of White and Seafoam Green pigment. And, as you can tell from our high resolution photos, that soothing sheen lays excellent groundwork for an array of choice details. At the front of the truck, a polished bumper frames a stainless-trimmed grille, which centers a familiar gold bowtie between traditional headlights, traditional headlight bezels and amber parking lamps. Above that glitz, a domed hood fronts muted wipers, which clear a fresh greenhouse that's finished with stainless drip rails and polished mirrors. That glass caps a fully trimmed fuselage, which follows ornate marker lamps with factory doors handles. At the center of the truck, a small cargo light illuminates a lined bed. And at the back of that bed, a second polished bumper splits traditional taillights and polished exhaust tips.
LS NATION
Serving as primary motivation for an entire roster of General Motors' latest and greatest performance icons, this truck's professionally rebuilt LS V8 utilizes a familiar 5.3 liters of displacement to turn easy horsepower into years of reliable torque! At the top of that cast iron mill, a short tube shuttles oxygen between a factory throttle body and a stainless-trimmed filter cone. That manual valve fronts a lightweight composite intake that's juiced by electronic fuel injection. That fuel progresses through muted rails to aluminum 862 heads, which tuck nicely under finned coil covers. Spent gases exit through factory LS manifolds. A serious Griffin radiator fronts quick-spinning SPAL puller fans. A lucid serpentine drive spins a modern A/C compressor opposite modern power steering and a familiar Delphi alternator. And items like a fresh brake booster, a fresh master cylinder and a standalone ECU convey a sense of prudent detailing.
ROLLING TALL
Bottom-side, a tough 4L60E 4-speed leads a proven New Process transfer case and a requisite 12-bolt axle. That clean pumpkin pushes a fully restored frame, which rides a rebuilt factory suspension that's fitted with smooth power steering and a 4-inch Rancho lift. Stops come courtesy of power assisted discs and drums. Exhaust floats through aluminized pipes and rowdy Flowmaster mufflers. And everything rolls on stylish Chevy Truck Rally Wheels, which spin 33x12.50R15 Falken WildPeak M/Ts around rugged Warn hubs.
BESPOKE STYLE
Between the doors, a tastefully upgraded Scottsdale interior provides a delightfully simplistic driving experience. The Seafoam cockpit kicks off with plush vinyl trim that dresses a broad bench seat. That throne faces a tasteful, black-trimmed dash that's finished with direct-fit audio, monochromatic Dakota Digital telemetry and Old Air Products climate control. The driver spins a factory steering wheel around a tilting column. And all that retro goodness rides between clean carpet, a sculpted headliner and Scottsdale-spec side panels.
A nicely finished classic that was built to be driven AND seen, this substantial Chevy mixes top notch components with killer personality and awesome curb appeal. Looking for a road ready cruiser that's guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever you go? Your search is officially over!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
