Chevrolet Nova 283 V8 1965

General description : One Fast Nova!

Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present this awesome 1965 Chevrolet Nova SS. This baby has gleaming Mercedes silver paint and a black metallic painted roof. This car just looks awesome from any angle. This is also probably the cleanest 1965 Nova that we have seen in a long time. This baby is all metal and not a 50 foot bondo queen. Just wait till you see the undercarriage pics and you will see what we mean.
The interior of this car was always very simple, yet very clean. This one is right along those lines. As you can see in the pics everything is in great shape and you even have the classic SUN gauges below the dash and the tach on the wheel. This is what you would have purchased back in the day and they look great in this car. The Lokar shifter is a nice touch to this ride and looks sweet there in the center console. This is just one sexy car.
Under the hood however is what makes this beauty the beast that it is. It is believed to be the original 283 motor from 1965 and this is not your grandmas 283. This motor was completely rebuilt and gone through. It has the power pack heads that sport 2.0 intake and 1.6 exhaust valves, a wolverine (now crane cams) camshaft, hooker super comp headers, forged pistons, and the list just goes on and on. What you can see however is that this baby can be driven anywhere, but boy is it a stop light to stop light screamer. This motor is making approximately 320 HP which is awesome out of a 283. This is all mated to a Turbo 350 tranny with a small (2500 approx) stall converter in it, shift kit, and aluminum pan. All of this power goes out through a shortened 85 8.5" S10 10 bolt rear end that has posi and 3.42 gears and Moser axels.
This baby will take anything that you can throw at it. Get ready to have a ton of fun, make new friends wherever you go and have the drive of your life. About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
