Chevrolet Panel Van 235 I6 1946

General description : Very Rare Delivery

THIS TRUCK COMES WITH A 1YR 5000 MILE SERVICE CONTRACT AT ADVERTISED PRICE!!
The year is 1946. Auto manufacturers went back to building vehicles instead of tanks, jeeps, and general war effort parts and pieces. People had not been able to buy a new car in years and they were hungry. Production numbers went through the roof for everyone in 1946. Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present this very rare 1946 Chevrolet Panel Delivery. Even though Chevrolet kicked their production numbers through the roof in 1946 you very rarely see this vehicle in any condition at car shows, cruise nights, or auctions. This one here has been redone from top to bottom and tip to tail. This truck went all the way down to bare metal to the beautiful ride you see here today.
Under the hood is the 235 straight 6 cylinder. It is not the original motor to the truck but it is what would have been in there for the time. The 3 speed manual transmission is original and like the rear end have been completely rebuilt and runs like a top. These were then and still are very simple to work on and parts are readily available. This one sings like a sewing machine.
The interior as you can see has been completely redone and quite possibly nicer than it came off the assembly line. The heater that you see under the passenger side of the dash will burn you out when you put it on high for those cooler fall or early spring days.
This is just one fun truck to look at and drive and it needs to be in your collection today. We offer classic car financing for those that would like to take advantage of the option. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
