What does the SS have to offer how about a Vortec (MAX) 6.0L V-8 engine with RPO code LQ9, making 345 horsepower at 5200 RPM and 380 pound-feet of torque at 4000 RPM, and also features high-compression (10:1) flat-top pistons. The transmission is a 4L65E four-speed automatic with a 4.10 final drive gear ratio. Full-time four-wheel-drive system featuring a locking rear differential and a viscous limited-slip center differential that continuously splits torque 38/62 front to rear. Plus, upgrade to 4-wheel disc brakes 12.0-inch-front and 12.8-inch-rear rotors. The handling package has also been greatly improved. The suspension has Z60 performance suspension with a torsion bar style front, two-stage leaf springs in back, and monotube shocks at all four corners. The 20-inch aluminum wheels with a Bow Tie centers with 275/55SR-20 BFGoodrich tires. The SS always feels firmly planted to the road translating to impressive grip. The SS from standstill to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds! SS's stirring exhaust a massive 3.5" Chevy says it's tuned "for a throaty NASCAR-inspired roar." I call it a deep, guttural, growl. What can be a meaner looking than Black Onyx paint and dark tented windows. The Silverado SS has embroidered headrest in charcoal grey Leather-covered front buckets and a rear bench seat that can fold-up for more storage space. The extended cab and four doors has lots of room. Comes fully loaded with power windows, power door locks, power steering, power bucket seats, and A/C. The SS comes with an aggressive looking dash with white-face gauges and an "SS" badge to the right of the stereo unit. The SS offers the space, versatility, and all-season capability.
