Chrysler 300 V8 1965

General description : 1965 Chrysler 300 The Chrysler 300 series was introduced in 1962 and ran until 1971.  They were the follow up to the Chrysler 300 "letter series" which was first put out the decade prior.  These full size automobiles were created to be a mash up of the muscle car craze with the luxury features Chrysler had been associated with.  These luxury muscle cars were more affordable than the "letter series" and in 1965 received a complete redesign with all new sheet metal.  While they retained their dual double headlights and cross bar grill they were very different than years prior.  This 1965 300 appears to be a solid survivor car wearing its original Regal Gold paint (code AA1) which is fading some on the top surfaces.  It wears all of its original style chrome and stainless throughout as well as its rear fender skirts and passenger side curb feelers for a vintage touch.  It also has all tinted Glass which is a factory option.  It sits on baby moon wheels with wide white wall tires.  Under the hood is the factory 413 ci motor combined with its TorqueFlite Automatic transmission.  The motor all looks very stock and the car has power brakes, power steering and was special ordered with air conditioning.  The car does run and drive.  The suspension set up is mostly stock but it has coil over shocks in rear. The interior is a two tone White with Gold inserts.  Between the front seats is a folding armrest and they are manually adjustable.  The car was ordered with power windows and the switches are mounted on the door panels in both front and rear.  The dash is done in white with a black dash pad and features all of its original style knobs, switches, trim and gauges.  It has a column shifter and its Gold painted "Chrysler" steering wheel.  The trunk is carpeted in Black and houses the original spare and jack set up. This factory 300 has some unique original options and would be a nice starting point for restoration or a custom build. It could be yours for NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $9,500.00!

About Chrysler
The Chrysler Corporation, one of the "big three" was founded by Walter Chrysler in 1925

Apart from artdeco(isque), airflow and airstream models, Chrysler's early years may lack lustre in design terms but not in technical. Their list of early automotive "firsts" includes Floating Power i.e. Rubber engine mounts, replaceable oil filters, downdraft carburetor, and four-wheel hydraulic brakes.

Things were to change after the war, Exner revived Chrysler production car design with the sleek, sculptured Forward Look designs of 1955 that transformed the product line overnight. The flagship in 1955, Chrysler 300, came with HEMI power. The 300, arguably the first muscle car, became a legend on and off the race track and set records throughout the 1950s, The Legend of Hemi was born.
