Ford Bronco 1968

General description : Introduced as a competitor to Jeep's legendary CJ and the venerable International Scout, Ford's awesome Bronco has always been a paramount of utility and versatility. And today, especially with the reintroduction of the brand as a Ford Icon, its quickly becoming a paramount of style and collectability. As with most things in the collector car realm, the older the Bronco the better. And this beast, a timeless take on timeless Americana, features two tops, an uncut body and the Ford V8 power that seemingly every first-generation Bronco buyer craves! Looking for a cool classic that's built, buff and ready to roll? Here it is!
TRUCKS CAN BE CONVERTIBLES TOO
A rock-solid cruiser that's benefitted from acute, frame-up restoration, this clean ute marries uncut factory metal with correct Meadowlark Yellow two-stage that's both unique and stylishly retro. At the front of that flash, a Pure White grille hangs crisp parking lamps and stainless-trimmed halogen headlights above a Pure White bumper that's finished with polished Dietz fog lamps. Behind that grille, a heavy hood points polished windshield washer nozzles at a hinged windscreen. That shield, cleared by electric wipers, gets shaded by either Parchment vinyl or a Bright White hardtop. A buff profile plants polished factory mirrors and polished factory door handles above flowing 'Bronco' scripts and polished fuel caps that front separate tanks. And at the back of the truck, a 'FORD' branded tailgate shades a second Bright White bumper between factory taillights and polished exhaust tips.
NEVER SEND AN INLINE SIX TO DO A V8'S JOB
Drivability is the number one concern for folks wanting to purchase a classic they can actually cruise. That's why it's always nice when you find something that, like this Bronco, has been carefully restored and, like this Bronco, features proven power. Pop the hood and you'll find 289 cubic inches of compact Ford power that's been fully rebuilt and fully sorted. At the top of that mill, a correct first-gen Bronco air cleaner floats breeze through a big 2-barrel carburetor. At the base of that carb, a factory intake feeds stock heads. At the front of those heads, a reliable points distributor shoots fire through proven Napa Mileage Plus plug wires. Cooling is provided by a correct, original-style radiator. Exhaust drops through fully restored factory manifolds. The smooth engine rolls in a clean engine bay that's flooded with nostalgic Meadowlark Yellow skin. And niceties like Bronco valve covers, a Mr. Gasket breather and a vivid red dipstick amp up the truck's already impressive appearance.
BUILT FORD TOUGH
Built Ford Tough from day one, this beast is ready to storm the trail! Torque meets the pavement through a tough C4 3-speed, which works well with a correct Dana 20 transfer case. That drivetrain powers a 9-inch rear axle which, along with a familiar Dana 30 front axle, pushes a Satin Black frame on a factory-spec suspension. Turns are made much easier with retrofitted power steering. Stops are greatly aided by retrofitted power front disc and rear drum brakes. Aluminized exhaust funnels great sounds through rowdy Flowmaster mufflers. And at the corners, polished aluminum slots twist 235/75R15 Firestone Destination A/Ts around locking Superwinch hubs.
ENJOY THE TRIP!
Between the doors, short bucket seats join a compact bench in stretching familiar Parchment vinyl beneath color-keyed lap belts. A simple dash floats a thin pad on retro knobs, crisp Dakota Digital VHX telemetry and more Bright White paint. That dash hides a modern Polk Audio DXi speaker, which expresses a modern head unit. That dash matches attractive, Bright White door panels. A decidedly Mid-Century steering wheel laps a simple column shifter above restoration-fresh carpet. And a 4-point roll bar greatly increases safety.
It's no wonder the Ford Bronco has become one of the market's most popular options for stylish, high-riding transportation! With sweet aesthetics, epic swagger and muscle car streetability, this clean ute is an excellent combination of form and function. Call your friends at http://www.RKMotors.com for more information!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
