Ford F-100 Styleside 351 V8 1970

General description : Description
This 1970 Ford F-100 Styleside gets the attitude right. It's got a cool classic two-tone style with just an added hint of flair. And this super-clean truck also has proper V8 power in case you want your vintage vehicle to still help out with the chores.
The blue and white really set off a classic attitude. And this one really gets it right with chrome bumpers, full-length side trim, and well-done sheetmetal accompanying the two-tone. It makes for a very vintage vibe. There are a few subtle upgrades, like later model Ford wheels and a thick rubber mat protecting the bed floor. They add some extra utility without looking out of place. The Sport Custom badging is seen on the rear of the bed right about the same time you spot those bright dual exhaust tips. And the ribbed rockers look like you borrowed them from a Mustang. It doesn't make this classic a full-on muscle truck, but instead, it's just the right amount of sporty flair to go with your vintage fun.
Inside is a full blue interior that's correct to the truck, and it absolutely retains its full classic style. The bench seat has the feel of a fresher cover, but the ribbed pattern makes it look original, especially with the matching door panel. As you slip behind the vintage steering wheel, the dash has a full stock appearance. Even the details are right, like the heat/defrost sliders and the AM radio that's still cranking tunes. It all makes for the right atmosphere for those who really want a classic truck experience.
Under the hood is Ford's hardy 351 cubic-inch V8. This is a younger and larger motor than stock, which is always good for all-around truck duty. There have also been some good investments, like a newer distributor, plug wires, and M/T valve covers. Even the carb look newer. It makes for a strong-running V8 that fires up nicely, makes a sweet tune from the dual exhaust, and is ready to hit the road. So you'll also be glad to have great driving features like power steering, power brakes and a three-speed automatic transmission.
These F-100s are true classics, so when you can get a V8 two-tone pickup for such an affordable price, you know you can't look twice...or this one will be gone. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
