Ford F-100 1951

General description : CUSTOM, 455 TITAN V8, AUTO, A/C, PWR FRONT DISCS, IFS, FORD 9", PWR STEER, NICE!

It's not just that this 1951 Ford F-1 looks mean with its matte black pant and body slammed to the ground. This pickup also has all the custom touches, and 375 hp Titan big-block to back it all up.
The Ford F-1 is arguably the best-looking post-war truck. While they all have a basic industrial attractiveness, this one is a cut-above because of its customizing. It starts with the aggressive lowered stance that is emphasized further by the tough matte black attitude. But even with the intimidation of a freight train, there's still room for shiny style. It's seen in everything from the Ford V8 badge on the bumper, to the detailed slats on the hood. There's even a glossy black accent stripe on top for a little fun. Of course the piece of brightwork that will draw everyone in is the set of Foose Legends wheels. It's the perfect balance of looking fantastic, without setting off alarms that this is a non-driving trailer queen. After all, this pickup was built to enjoy. As expected with a custom truck like this, the bed has a real wood floor, and it looks brand new. We can't confirm that no one ever hauled something back here, but any duty this pickup has seen since its build has been done with great care.
The door handles are shaved, so you'll enjoy popping the remote openers to reveal an interior that's just as dark, aggressive, and custom as the exterior. It starts with the black leather seat that has a nice touch of color in the red stitching that includes the Ford logo. There's also the convenience of a thumpin' stereo with Bluetooth connection, and ice-cold air conditioning that's running modern R-134a. So while it might look mean on the outside, this is quite a pleasant place to be in the inside. But even with these upgrades for your passenger, there is no mistaking this for anything else than a pickup built for the driver. After all, you get the grippy three-spoke steering wheel, tall gearstick, and the full gauge package that includes the large AutoMeter tachometer.
Ford and Chevy power is easy to source, but when you want to something different that is an engine to envy, this Oldsmobile 455 cubic-inch V8 specially built by Titan Engines in 2013 will easily draw the crowds at the car show. Not only does the huge motor fill the engine bay, but it also is built with performance parts like a Holley four-barrel carburetor and long tube headers. The result is estimated at 375 hp, and a rumble out of the side pipes that's as aggressive as this bad boy pickup deserves. But all the owner's money wasn't just spent on creating big power. There has also been an big investment in keeping it reliable, including recent receipts for a new starter, accelerator pump, carburetor rebuild, transmission gaskets, and oil seals. The V8 is mated to a stout three-speed automatic transmission, before sending the power to a Ford 9-inch rear end. As much as this one looks like it was built to rule the streets, there is much more comfort going on underneath this Ford. It's a power steering truck with an independent front suspension and front disc brakes. Plus, the low-profile Falken tires give you the right amount of grip no matter the situation.
This 1950 Ford F-1 is an awesome kind of custom pickup that takes its freight train commanding appearance and puts some serous upgraded V8 power behind it. When restoration receipts and a wicked exhaust rumble back it up, well then, you know it won't last long at this price. Call today!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
