Ford F-150 Procharged 390 CID DOHC V8 2000

General description : For sale in our Nashville showroom is one bad to the bone 2000 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition pick-up. This 2000 F-150 for sale was built with one goal in mind, to be the world's fastest Harley-Davidson F-150. With over 1,500 horsepower, it's quite possibly the case. A one owner truck, it was driven as a loved cruiser. Once the odometer hit 2,500 the owner knew that this truck was destined for something much more... menacing. Built for performance, this truck was built spared at no expense. With a laundry list of parts used in the build, this brief write-up only touches the tip of the iceberg! Powering this beastly F150 for sale is a 390 cubic inch Ford GT super car all aluminum block engine. This DOHC engine has been bored, stroked, and massaged to put out optimal power. When popping off the fiberglass front end, you're overcome with adrenaline, just by looking at the engine bay. With a full tubular chassis, you know this Ford wasn't built to play around. Topped off with an F-2 Procharger with water-to-air intercooler, this drag truck for sale is a monster that throws out over 1,500 horsepower! Backing the furious Ford powerplant is a built Lenco 5-speed transmission. Built with accessories such as a dual disc clutch, air shifter, and Browell bellhousing, this transmission was built to handle hard launches. The power is transferred through a carbon fiber driveshaft, then planted to the pavement through a built Ford 9" rear end. With Weld beadlock wheels wrapped in drag slicks, this fast Ford for sale just begs to lay down the rubber! The body of the cab is steel, adorned with more fiberglass and carbon fiber parts than you can shake stick at! Topped off with a paint job that cost over $12,000 alone, you have one sharp looking Ford. The interior is a gearhead's dream, loaded with a full roll cage, intercooler and piping, transmission, and basic gauges needed for racing. This Ford even comes loaded with a RacePak data recorder and Big Stuff 3 ECM with Toughbooks laptop. Whether you're looking for fun weekend track car, a show go'er, or a way to get to the grocery store that's a quarter mile down the street in roughly 7 seconds, this is the truck for you! A $212.15 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applicable tax, title, & licensing fees. About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
