MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely offered 1931 Ford Hi Boy street rod, you have to start with a great design and a team of professionals who know the ins and outs of fabrication and assembly. This sweet Model A coupe is exceptionally well-executed with a two inch roof chop, and with its custom suspension, reliable Flat head V-8 and smooth color combination, is a ground-up build that combines the core strengths of old school hot rodding with top-notch modern components.
During a thorough, no excuses build starting with the body, the metal was prepared and layered in a deep green exterior with contrasting tan firewall. It was upgraded with a steel deuce grill metal ’32 metal grill shell to surround the Walker radiator. The fuel tank and the battery have been relocated to the trunk for safety and weight reasons. Modern day sealed headlamps with directional signals for modern safety without sacrificing the classic stance. The contrasting tan Lebarron Bonney cloth top is in excellent condition.
Inside, the seats are finished in a deep dark brown vinyl with a gold textured carpet. The door panel mirrors the same rich brown finish as the seats. Sporting a 1932 dash which presents a period look, but allows a full bank of modern VDO gauges. The “quick release” steering wheel is a nice touch (for the horizontally challenged). By now it’s probably pretty obvious this Ford was built to be seen, but, thanks to the nicely built Ford flat head under this car’s steel hood, that might be easier said than done! Comes complete with removable steel side curtains.
This nostalgic 30’s hot rod comes with a Ford 8BA flat head V8 engine, Edelbock aluminum heads, Thickstun high rise aluminum intake with dual carburetors, custom “One Eye Crow” headers, 1939 Ford 3-speed manual transmission, stock model A rear differential with 3.78 gears, Walker radiator, drop axle front,1940 juice hydraulic brakes and Wilwood master cylinder. It stands on staggered 16 inch black painted steelies shod with Firestone deluxe Champion tires.
Movies like American Graffiti and Two Lane Blacktop, have shown and inspired many people to build some gorgeous hot-rods over the years. Many of the great ones, like this one were based on the iconic €˜31 Ford. The build quality is fantastic, allowing convenience and comfort of a modern car, wrapped in a cool, old school package. It goes fast, stops fast and looks awesome doing it.
These Coupes are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well kept condition. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 4,494, it is sold as is and is mileage exempt. The car is being sold on a clean & clear title.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
