Ford Mustang 289 V8 1965

General description : SOLID DROP TOP, 289 V8, 4 SPEED MANUAL, CORRECT FACTORY COLORS, GREAT DRIVER!

This is a true dream car. A first-year 1965 Ford Mustang convertible that's such a red-blooded American that it's fully red inside and out. And because we know you want to drive it, the four-on-the-floor keeps you in complete control of the V8. Who knew your dream could be this obtainable?
The red is a factory-correct color, and this great pony shows well in the sun. Iconic cruisers like this always get the attention, and that's why a bright red Mustang is always in demand. Plus, the sheetmetal must be clean and straight like it is here, because we all look for the iconic full-length scalloped design. But more than just a nice shine, this one has added attraction from the details like the correct badging, cool chrome bumpers, and the stylish wire wheel covers.
While the white vinyl top has the crisp appearance of a recent investment, we like it even better when the roof is down – that's probably why this was order with a power top! The reason why this looks so good open to the world is because the red seats, red carpets, red door panels, and red dash all coordinate so nicely with the exterior. There's even a red boot cover. And everyone loves the look of the premium "Pony" package interior. But as much as this classic can carry family and friends, it's really the driver who's the most important. That's why you get that classic three-spoke sports steering wheel with the perfect thin grip. And your right hand may never want to leave that Hurst shifter.
Under the hood are some nice upgrades like the Cobra valve covers and the bright air grabber, but there is nothing that gets in the way of the reliable power that comes from Ford's trusty 289 cubic-inch V8. In fact, this is a true droptop for people who enjoy the feeling of the road. So you're going to love the total control you get from the four-speed manual transmission, and your favorite soundtrack will be the growl of the dual exhaust as you shift through the optimal powerband.
A red '65 Mustang convertible is the kind of icon that gets all the right attention. So when it looks great and is priced so right, we know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
