Wind in your hair, or across your scalp, bugs in your teeth, seat of the pants driving. This classic T bucket has been painted a medium purple with enough flake to be seen from space, ok, maybe not space. This purple and silver T bucket has as a source of power a .0060 over 350 Chevrolet small block that has been put together with a lot of thought and even painted the same as the body. Edelbrock high rise intake and two of their carbs sitting on top provide plenty of fuel while a Mallory unlite distributor throws the energy to the plugs. Chrome header side pipes allow the engine to exhale easily. Bolted to this potent power plant, yes I did that on purpose, is a fully polished turbo 400 3 speed automatic which passes the power to the Ford 9inch rear axle housing 3.55 to 1 rear gear. The attention to detail here is incredible, it even looks as if the front frame rail were made of stainless which has been channeled into the fiberglass body or bucket. Front disc and rear drums provide the stopping power and a set of wheelie bars help to keep the rubber on the road and the ability to steer in your hands. This is one snappy small block and the car responds instantly. This car is a blast to drive just remember if you buy it any ticket you receive is all yours. It takes a gentle right foot to keep the big ole Mickey's from just turning into white smoke. About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.
In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.
In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
