Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet w111 Mercedes-Benz W111-112 - 280 SE We 1969

General description : Dieser traumhafte Mercedes 280 SE Cabrio kommt wie fast alle aus USA und hatte bei der Übernahme des heutigen Besitzers lediglich 70000 Miles gelaufen, was ja bei dem Alter von 48 Jahren nicht wirklich viel ist. Er kommt aus San Francisco in Californien und das erklärt auch seine äußerst gute Blechsubstanz und seine Rostfreiheit. Trotzdem hat ihn sein heutiger Besitzer, ein älterer, sehr erfahrener Sammler bei einem bekannten deutschen Fachbetrieb perfektionieren lassen. Hierbei wurde der komplette Unterboden eisgestrahlt, überarbeitet und glanzlackiert um dann mit Wachs versiegelt zu werden. Selbst die Hohlräume wurden untersucht und behandelt. Die Technik wurde komplett überholt, der Motor hat jetzt den Tachostand von 3465 km gelaufen und bei der Überführung in unseren Betrieb bin ich selbst mehr als 400 km gefahren und da ich einen baugleichen 280 SE Cabrio fahre kann ich das bestimmt kompetent beurteilen - besser geht nicht. Der Motor ist kerngesund bei voller Leistung, das Mitteltunnelgetriebe schaltet perfekt, das Fahrwerk ist einfach neu, genau wie die Bremsen und deshalb fährt sich dieses Cabrio einfach perfekt. Gleichzeitig fühlt man aber den Zeitgeist, denn im Unterschied zu fast allen ist hier extrem viel Originalität erhalten worden. So wurde die Karosserie nur bis zur Sicke unterhalb des Türgriffs lackiert, oberhalb haben wir hier noch den Originallack. Genau so original ist das Dach, der Lederinnenausstattung und selbst der Bodenbelag ist noch der Erste! Stielvoller könnte ein Cabrio nicht daherkommen, zumal es sich hier noch um eines der begehrten Hochkühler handelt, welche formal mit ihrer parallel zu den Kotflügeln verlaufenden Motorhaube die Urform der von Bèla Barènyis geschaffenen Urform exakt entspricht. Auch die Stoßstangen ohne Gummiauflage wirken einfach "hochwertiger" und der Chrom kann bei diesem dunkelblauen Spitzenmodell richtig glänzen. Dass der Erstbesitzer sich für 4 elektrische Fensterheber und ein Becker Autoradio entschied ist heute noch eine willkommene Annehmlichkeit und so fährt sich der Wagen mit Servolenkung und Automatikgetriebe sehr angenehm und leicht.
