Super Clean 1974 Jensen-Healey Roadster
The next amazing vehicle up for grabs in our Benicia showroom is this 1974 Jensen-Healey Healey 2 Door Roadster with blue exterior paint and a tan leather interior.  You’ll find a 120.6 cid four cylinder engine under the hood with a four-speed manual transmission and this desirable British classic is nicely equipped for modern driving.  It is also in very nice shape for a lifetime driver and it is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.

Four Owner Classic Import w/ Nice Body Lines
The current owner of this 1974 Jensen-Healey Roadster purchased it back in 2015 from the 3rd lifetime owner.  He informs us that very little of this British classic’s history is known, so we are unsure where it was originally manufactured or when it was brought to the United States.  What we can tell you is that the body/frame appears to be original to this vehicle as is the vast majority of the interior.  The drivetrain may be original but we don’t have enough information at this time to make an educated guess.  The belt configuration and general layout does appear correct- we will update this section once we know more.
We believe that this 1974 Jensen-Healey Roadster likely underwent at least a partial restoration at some point in its life.  It does show moderate wear to the paint with some small dents/dings, but the panels do line up nicely all the way around and the top aligns properly.  The interior is also very clean with a nice patina to the leather seating and typical wear to the dash, the carpeting and the steering column.  It appears that everything is here for the next owner if they are considering a full restoration.

Great Candidate for a Complete Restoration
Overall, this 1974 Jensen-Healey Healey Roadster is a very nice driver quality example that can be enjoyed as-is or completely restored into something truly special.  As rare as these examples are to find in the States in this type of condition, this beauty is available at a steal of a price.  It should not remain available for long.  For more information about this impressive vehicle, visit our Benicia, California showroom, give us a call at 707-748-4000, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # B11349 as well.
Legal Disclosures: Specialty Sales Classics has advertised and sold thousands of classic cars since our founding in 1978. We strongly encourage any and all buyers who are unable to view the vehicle in-person to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection (by an independent party of their choosing) prior to the purchase.  Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.

About Jensen
The story of Jensen cars is a tale of British automotive craftsmanship and innovation that left a lasting impression on the world of luxury automobiles. Jensen, a relatively small automaker, managed to carve a niche for itself with its elegant and handcrafted vehicles.

In the Beginning:
The Jensen story begins in 1934 when brothers Richard and Alan Jensen founded Jensen Motors Limited in West Bromwich, England. They initially started as a coachbuilding business, but their passion for automobiles led them to develop their own cars.

Jensen Models:
Jensen produced a range of models over the years, each with its own unique character and appeal.

Jensen Interceptor:
The Interceptor, introduced in the 1950s, is one of the most iconic models produced by Jensen. It was a luxurious and high-performance grand tourer that combined elegant styling with powerful engines. The Interceptor was known for its exceptional build quality and craftsmanship.
Jensen CV8:
The CV8, launched in the early 1960s, was another notable model. It was a fast and sophisticated sports car with a distinctive design. The CV8 was powered by a V8 engine, which contributed to its impressive performance.
Jensen Healey:
In the early 1970s, Jensen collaborated with Donald Healey to create the Jensen-Healey. This sports car was known for its affordability and fun-to-drive character, making it accessible to a broader range of enthusiasts.
Jensen GT and Jensen S-V8:
Jensen continued to produce vehicles with the GT and S-V8 models in the 1970s and early 2000s, respectively. The GT was a fastback version of the Interceptor, while the S-V8 was a modern take on the classic Jensen sports car.
Challenges and Closure:
Like many British automakers, Jensen faced financial challenges and ownership changes over the years. These difficulties ultimately led to the closure of the company in the early 2000s.

Legacy:
Despite its challenges, Jensen left behind a legacy of luxurious, handcrafted automobiles that were appreciated for their unique character and design. Their commitment to quality and craftsmanship made them stand out in the world of British motoring.

In conclusion, the story of Jensen cars is a testament to British ingenuity and the pursuit of excellence in automotive design and craftsmanship. While Jensen may not have achieved the same level of recognition as some larger automakers, their cars continue to be celebrated for their elegance and individuality by collectors and enthusiasts alike
