Lincoln Continental 402 1979

General description : 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car, Original Miles, Survivor

Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present a stunning piece of Lincoln history. Before you is a 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car. Imagine driving down the road in 1979 and seeing this baby rolling down the road. You know the person driving it was doing well for themselves, because these cars were not cheap at all. The fit and finish on this car is second to none. It looks like it just came down the line yesterday. The paint is absolutely miles deep and presents very well for being a 37 year old car. This car is just as stunning as the first day that it was sold.
Now that you just had to come over and walk around this car, you open up the driver door and slide in to one of the most plush and comfortable interiors that you probably have ever sat in. These are the original seats from 1979 and they are as comfortable today as the day they were installed. You will not find any fade, or rips and tears in these seats, dash, or headliner. This plush leather interior is just impeccable. Everything works on this car, and the A/C is ice cold. This car is truly a time capsule.
Under the hood sits Lincoln's 402 Cubic Inch V8. Now in muscle cars this would be a powerful drag strip ripping motor. In a 1979 Lincoln it is a boulevard cruiser motor to move this tank around. It put out minimal HP, but had plenty of torque to get you where you wanted to go. This is an original low mile car that doesn't leak or smoke and everything works properly. The three speed tranny shifts great. Bottom line is this boulevard cruiser just purrs like a kitten, just like it should.

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
