General description : Die Motoren waren Weiterentwicklungen vorheriger Konstruktionen; ansonsten war der Typ W 114/115 oder kurz Strich-Acht genannt eine komplette Neuentwicklung. Unter den technischen Besonderheiten ragte vor allem das völlig neue Fahrwerk mit einer Schräglenker-Hinterachse heraus (Mercedes-Bezeichnung: Diagonalpendelachse). Auch in punko Sicherheitstechnik war dieser Mercedes bahnbrechend. Serienmäßig war z.B. u.a. vier Scheibenbremsen. Viele Neuerungen wurden beim /8 verbaut, die auch bei den heutigen Mercedes zum Teil noch zu finden sind u.a. die typische Gestaltung der Mittelkonsole.

Der hier angebotene Mercedes Benz 280 E/8 wurde in die Schweiz erstausgeliefert. Das Auto ist in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand und alle Wartungsintervalle wurden penibel eingehalten. Dieser 280 E /8 ist die Topausführung. Besonders bemerkenswert ist der kraftvolle Motor mit seinen 185 PS in Verbindung mit dem optionalen und sehr seltenen 5-Gang Getriebe. Auch die sonstige Ausstattung ist bemerkenswert: eine wunderschöne Lackierung in blaumetallic, sowie eine blaue Lederinnenausstattung, Klimaanlage, 4 elektrische Fensterheber, Zentralverriegelung, und das elektrische Schiebedach. Dieser Mercedes ist eine wunderschöne Limousine mit all erdenklichen Komfort und kann als alltagstauglicher Klassiker jetzt auch mit H-Kennzeichen preiswert bewegt werden.
