The Montclair was the top of the line Mercury in 1955 and the restyling of this classic earned Mercury Motor Trend magazine car of the year award for 1955. This American classic comes equipped with the factory original 292 cubic inch V8 backed up by a smooth 3 speed automatic transmission. This 55 Mercury has a rebuilt carburetor, new power brake system, new battery. The air conditioner has been restored to factory specifications and this beauty also has power windows and a power trunk release. The engine has a nice rumble thanks to the Montclair series dual exhaust with reverse flow mufflers. This Mercury flag ship comes equipped with a lot of chrome in all the right places including the massive chrome grill hooded headlights that also add to the sleek side appearance with the rear full wheel cover skirts. The exterior of this 1955 Mercury Montclair is a beautiful white with gold flake and pearl in the paint complemented with a nice two-tone black and white interior.
