MG TC 1947

General description : 1947 MG TC

The TC is the first post-war model of MG. The TC looks like the pre-war MG TB, with the same 1250cc engine and automated timing of the mechanical ignition. In the TC this engine produced 54 HP, because of the slightly higher compression ratio to its predecessor. A total of 10.001 MG TC’s were built between September 1945 (first chassis number TC0251) and November 1949 (last chassis number TC10251).

This MG TC left the factory in 1946. With chassis number TC1933 is this the 1682th MG TC ever built. It is performed in an old English white body. According tot he present documents in the history file of this car, the restoration of this TC took place in Germany by the owner who had this MG between 1985 and 1995. The history shows that the original engine is still in the car.

The MG TC is imported to The Netherlands in 2008, and in 2009 bought by the current owner. With only 21.047 miles after restoration, this MG TC is technical in good condition, as wel as the chrome- and bodywork. This classic car has many authentic details in both the original interior and the exterior.
