MG TD Left Hand Drive. 1952

General description : 1952 MGTD LHD

Chassis Number: TD/18493
Registration number: AF-672-ND French (Not old timer.)

This car was found as a rust free barn find in Arizona about 15 years ago & purchased by the current parisienne  engineeer/owner who then embarked upon a painstaking nut & bolt Restoration over the course of a decade.  Since recent completion  the car has covered a scant few hundred miles & is still being run in.

The body was removed fromt he chassis & everything disassmbled & renewed.  At the same time the engine was completely rebuilt with every bearing being replaced  / renewed as required.

Originally cream/red, the car was refinished in its original colour of cream but with a green leather interior & green dash board & radiator slats.  A beautiful beige mohair hood has been installed which flips open simply after releasing two screw type retainers.  The car also comes with is renewed pull out side screens.

You really have to see & drive this car to appreciate the attention to detail.  It has been kept as original as possible to its new spec with the exception of a pair of K & N air filters to the Caburettors.  Details like the headlights  lights were left in the original repainted black as opposed to the more common substitution of chrome items.  New tyres are fitted all round including the rear mounted spare.   A period suitcase is stowed behind the rear seats with room for knickers & a toothbrush along with other requisites.

The car is French registered on normal french plates as opposed to old timer plates & comes with contole technic & Carte Gris.  It is located 20 miles south west of Paris where it may be viewed by appointment but will be coming to us in the new year if not sold by then.

This is a super little car in absolutely perfect like new contition thoughout & benefits from being French Registered.
