Peugeot 205 GTI 1992

General description : Undoubtedly the most iconic of the 80's GTI hot hatches on offer: the Peugeot 205 GTI phase2 1.9 non-sunroof

My 205 GTI has been MOT-inspected and put into road use 8th of june 2022 after being garaged for some years before that. The mileage is currently 130.000 Miles / 210,000 km. The car has a service manual and a Carvertical report conforming that no accident, damage, theft or other problems have been reported in the history of the car.

When the car was parked, it underwent a comprehensive cylinder head repair, renewing the top end gasket set, breather system hoses, timing belt, accessory belt, water pump, belt tensioner and radiator. The head was milled and the valves fitted with new stem seals. The cylinders were found to be in good condition and factory honing well visible.

The car has also been replaced with new, more efficient brake pressure regulators that soothe the car's braking behavior, especially on wet asphalt. The GTI comes Toyo tires in good condition.

The red 205 phase 2 Peugeots used to have poor UV resistance due the water-based paint as a type defect. This resulted in severe fading of the color and a lacquer defect. Due to the cosmetic defect, the car was repainted in the winter of 2018 with 2k-acrylic paint.
For painting, all the windows, body trim, lights, bumpers, etc. were removed from the car.
During the refurbishment, the car was replaced with a NOS bronze-tinted windscreen, which is no longer available today.

The black-red interior is in good condition overall, the leather side support of the driver's seat is partially sagging on the side of the door. Power windows work. The car's original remote locking control fob is also included.

The 205 GTI is on sale because unfortunately there is not enough free time at the moment to enjoy it as it should. Sold as is where is. Shipping available to Germany, Holland, Belgium, France.
