Description : Gateway classic Cars of Tampa presents this well kept, 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Pontiac was riding high in 1976, with Trans Ams selling to the tune of 46,701 units for the year. This 4 speed manual, 455ci V8 (the owner believes to be original), is one of only 7099 with this option combination. The current owner has invested in several repairs/upgrades over the years such as: new reproduction Tach, 4 core aluminum radiator, 80amp alternator, Rebuilt Quadrajet carb, new starter, brake lines and hoses, plus heater and radiator hoses and a new master cylinder among other things. The car was Firethorn red new, but now sports Corvette torch red paint.

The black vinyl interior is rip free and looks pretty fresh and you'll find the AC is nice and cool thanks to a recent R134 conversion. This Trans Am was also optioned with power windows, and AM/FM radio with 8 track. Unfortunately the 8 Track no longer works. Otherwise this 1976 455, 4 speed Trans Am is great throwback to big cubes and flamboyant styling! A great driver or easy cosmetic restoration. Don't let this 76 T/A get away, this bird is ready to fly!
