Pontiac Le Mans 400 V8 1970

General description : Pontiac Excitement!

Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present this absolutely beautiful 1970 Pontiac LeMans Sport Convertible. There is not a nut or bolt on this car that hasn't been touched. This deep Cardinal Red paint looks like it was just sprayed yesterday. This car is beautiful from any angle or any distance. The top frame was taken apart and powder coated and a new white top put on it. The amount of money put in to building this car is a lot more than the asking price for it.
The interior has been completely redone from the seats, dash, carpet, door panels, and everything. The center console looks sweet between the bucket seats. The leather wrapped steering wheel looks like that's the way the car was born. The miles that you see on the odometer is it. Just 702 miles. This car also has cold A/C to keep you feeling cool on those hot days when you are looking cool driving this baby down the road.
Under the hood sits a Pontiac 400 with MSD throttle body fuel injection, long tube headers, and turbo mufflers to make this sweet drop top sound absolutely awesome. This power is mated to a rebuilt 3 speed automatic transmission and the rear end is rebuilt as well. All of this go has plenty of whoa with 4 wheel disc brakes and a completely rebuilt suspension to handle all those curves. We could literally take all the space we have listing everything that is new on this car, but as you can see in the pics, everything is new on this car. Make this one yours today.

Position in GM Hierarchy:
Distinct Identity: Pontiac occupied a unique place within GM, known for its performance-oriented vehicles and youthful branding.
Mid-Level Brand: Positioned above Chevrolet but below the more upscale divisions such as Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac, Pontiac aimed to offer affordable yet sporty cars.
History and Notable Models:
Pontiac GTO (1964-1974):
Iconic Muscle Car: Considered the first true American muscle car, blending performance and style.
Specifications: V8 engines, powerful performance, and aggressive styling made the GTO immensely popular.
Pontiac Firebird (1967-1981):
Muscle Car and Pony Car: Shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro, featuring distinct Pontiac styling cues.
Variants: Offered various models and engine options, including the Trans Am, which gained fame through movies like "Smokey and the Bandit."
Pontiac Grand Prix (1962-2008):
Personal Luxury Car: Initially a full-size car, later transformed into a mid-size model, known for its blend of comfort and performance.

Pontiac Bonneville (1957-2005):

Impact and Legacy:
Performance Image: Pontiac carved a niche for itself by emphasizing performance, sportiness, and innovation, attracting younger and enthusiast drivers.
Marketing Success: Innovative marketing strategies and successful racing endeavors contributed to Pontiac's popularity and brand image.
Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
