Cadillac De Ville 472V8 1966

Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1966 Cadillac DeVille Convertible The Cadillac name has always been synonymous with class, elegance, and luxury.  Cadillac was known for packing all of the latest and greatest technology in their vehicles and were always a top level car.  The DeVille name started as just a trim level before becoming its own model that was created for 8 generations all the way up until 2005 when it was renamed the DTS.  This beautiful '66 Cadillac DeVille belongs to the 3rd generation and although those large tail fins were a thing of the past the long stretched body lines and tons of chrome remained.  These cars still had the dual headlights but this year saw them turned vertically.  This year also introduced the tall vertical taillights which would continued to be used on Cadillacs for many years to come.  The current owner purchased the car in 2014 and at the time it had fresh Red paint and a new White power convertible top.  The body is solid and in good condition throughout.  The paint has a nice finish and the top raises/lowers properly.  It also comes with a Black parade boot to keep it protected when you are cruising with the top down.  These cars wore a ton of chrome accents all of which are in great shape.  The glass is all in good condition as well and the power windows all function properly except for the right rear window.  However, it does come with a replacement motor so that can easily be repaired.  The car has a great stance and rides on a set of original wheels with Cadillac spoke hubcaps with thin white wall tires.  Getting that 130 inch wheelbase barreling down the road is a 472 V8 motor that was actually introduced later in 1968 to replace the 429.  The motor starts up and runs well.  It is clear it has been well maintained.  The radiator was rebuilt in 2018 and the 3 speed TH400 automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2015.  The car shifts and drives well.  Being a Cadillac you can bet it has all the options for the time like power steering and power brakes which all work properly.  Under the hood the motor has a stock look with Black valve covers and a Gold Cadillac air cleaner.  The interior is in great shape and was redone prior to the current owner.  It features Black upholstery throughout and from the carpet to the power adjustable seats everything is in great condition.  An aftermarket radio was added to deliver all your favorite tunes but it also comes with the original should you want to get it rebuilt.  The trunk has been redone as well and has all new weather-stripping.  It houses a spare wheel and currently a bunch of additional parts that come with the car including an AC compressor and all of the brackets.  In addition to extra parts it also comes with an original shop manual. This cool Caddy is a lot of car for our low asking price.  It is in good shape and would make an excellent classic for somebody without breaking the bank. This car has been SOLD!
