Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible If you spend any time watching the auction shows or perusing through the results you probably already know what you are look at.  The 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible.  These cars have become incredibly desirable over the years and do to the limited production have proven to be rare classics to find.  The Biarritz Convertible was the top of the line car of its day with a hefty price tag at the time of $7,000.  It was the car of the elite.  Celebrities, politicians, and wealthy business men were the likely candidates to find themselves sitting behind the wheel.  Many people feel these cars are the perfect investment in that they are going to only become more desirable as they disappear.  They are already fetching big dollars and this number will only go up as time goes on.  The most expensive one sold was just recently bought for $649,000.00 at auction and was the first ever built, bearing the VIN of #000001.  This 1957 Cadillac Biarritz Convertible may not be the 1st or 2nd ever built but it still has a ton going for it.  The car is in beautiful condition and was restored entirely back to the stock specifications.  The beautiful White paint graces the bodylines perfectly.  These cars were known for their large amount of chrome and stainless all of which has a beautiful finish and cleanly mounted in place on this classic.  All of the correct emblems and badging are there and done in Gold as they were originally.  The glass is all in good condition and has been topped with a slight tint.  You won't find a single weak area on this classic piece  of history.  Under each corner are the stock style Cadillac sabre wheels which look perfectly wrapped in wide white wall tires.   Powering the car is the stock drive train that consists of a 325hp, 365 CI OHV V8 motor.  The car starts up very well and cruises around with no issues.  The engine has a very clean original look and even utilizes the stock style Gold valve covers and oil bath air cleaner.  Even a lot of the original decals are still there!  Backing this is the 4 speed Hydramatic automatic transmission that shifts smoothly with zero issues. Being the highest level of Cadillac in that time it is fitted with all of the luxury components of that time.  This includes the 4 wheel power hydraulic drum brakes.   The interior of the car is completed in a White and Red 2 tone combination that is in great condition.  The entire interior was restored to original as was the rest of the car but a few minor upgrades were added in like the after market A/C and after market AM/FM/CD player.  To preserve the original look however, all of the controls were hidden in the glove box which allows the original AM Wonderbar radio to still sit in place.  All of the trim work in the interior is just as beautiful as the body and the dash on this car is like a work of art.  Bench seats are in place and the front are power adjustable which is pretty cool considering the car was born into the 50's.  There is no doubting why this car gave you the king of the road status. The White convertible top still raises/lowers with ease and the extremely unique hard parade cover sits in place perfectly when the top is down.
