The Ferrari 365 GT/4 Berlinetta Boxer was revealed at Turin in 1971; the first mid-mounted flat-12 engine to feature in a road model. The model and series in fact would develop the nickname of 'Boxer' for its opposing pistons. The 365 BB was eventually released in late 1973 with the majority of cars only leaving the factory in 1974; a total of 387 were built in the following three years before the car was upgraded to the 512 BB. However, the 365 remains both the original, lightest and rarest of all the Boxer models, instantly recognisable due to its triple rear lights and 'pea-shooter' exhaust tips.These factors entail that the 365 GT/4 BB is the most valuable and sought after of the entire Boxer family and with the addition of the BBs being the last truly hand-built Ferraris, values look set to hold strong in the coming years. The example we are delighted to offer rolled off the production line at the Ferrari Factory in June 1974, wearing body number 168. It was finished in the incredibly rare colour combination of Bianco Polo over a Pelle Blu leather interior both of which are still original to this day.The car sits today in excellent, highly original condition and is showing just over 26,000 miles from new. It also benefits from being matching numbers and has recently been awarded Classiche Certification from the Ferrari Factory to certify its originality and quality. 365 GT4 BBs have always been and will always remain highly desirable for both their exceptional looks and impressive driving characteristics. Den första Ferrari väg bil var de 125 S introducerades 1947 och drivs av en 1,5 L V12 motor, eller hur?Tja det är inte riktigt så enkelt, Ferrari faktiskt producerar e Tipo 815, 1940 Tipo 815 ritades av ex-Alfa Romeo ingenjörer Alberto Massimino och Vittorio Bellentani och Enrico Nardi enligt Enzo sällskap men juridiska frågor med det tidigare intresse Alfa Romeo hindrade Ferrari från att lansera Ferrari marque vid den punkten.

Utan Chiti och Bizzarrini utvecklingen av vad som skulle bli den mest kvintessensen Ferrari och idag världens dyraste bil, 250 GTO, var vid en svängpunkt. 250 GTO projekt räddades av en ung ingenjör Mauro Forghieri och lång tid racing bodyman Sergio Scaglietti som klev in och tog över programmet med kända resultat.

I slutet av 60-talet Ferraris prototyper framgång fick ett abrupt stopp av en ny konkurrent, GT40. Ford vände sig till Lola för att producera en Ferrari slog långdistans racer efter Enzo hade klippt affären av med Henry Ford II gör det senare absolut koka av vrede. Samarbetet mellan Ford och Lola skapade den mäktiga Ford GT40 som gav Ferrari några tunga hits i Le Mans 24 framöver.
