This here is a 1962 Mercury Comet S-22. This car is museum quality with a complete nut and bolt restoration done to it. The fit and finish on this car is probably better then the day that it came down the line. The white paint looks like it just came out of the paint booth yesterday. This is the original color to the car called Sultana White. All of the bright work is at the highest level as well and really needs to be in your garage today. There were over 6,000 man hours put in to this restoration. If you know what most shops charge for labor rates these days, then you know a lot more money then what we are asking was spent on this car.p>This fine piece is absolutely loaded with awards. This car has won AACA Junior in 2004, AACA Senior in 2005, as well as AACA Grand National in 2006. Not to mention all of the local car show best in show trophies that you could throw at it. When we say that this is a museum quality piece we mean it and the awards prove it. As it is said, you could eat off of this car from anywhere.p>The interior of the car was obviously completely redone as well in its beautiful red vinyl and you can even see the special edition S-22 symbol in the back seat. Again, this interior probably didn't look this nice the day that it came down the line. A lot of time and care were given to the restoration of this car. You are not going to see any rips or tears in anything. This is one beautiful car.p>Under the hood sits the original 170 Cu In straight six motor. Just like everything else, the motor was rebuilt on this car and has only had 500 miles put on it since everything was done. This is mated to the original automatic transmission and rear end. The bottom of this car is as pretty as the top. p>We just can not say enough about how nice this car is. This is a museum quality piece that needs to be in your collection today.
