1967 Austin Mini Cooper Built to S Works Rally Specification  (RHD)

Finished in the iconic colour of Tartan Red with Old English White roof, matching side painted squares with the exact style trim and custom made drivers seat. This example has undergone a painstaking restoration over a five year period to duplicate the entry for 1967 Tulip Rally, piloted by Driver H.Andersen of Denmark and navigator O.Dencker of Germany. Upon viewing you will not be disappointed with the precise accuracy, attention to detail of which has gone into the building of this astonishing car and if anything is far better than the BMC works entry of ’67’. Fabulous high gloss paint finish throughout fitted roll cage, side sliding glass and correct period heated back window, mm perfect panel fit (which you never see on these cars) period Lucas stopwatches & bank of lights, mini lights, twin long-range fuel tanks, custom made complete stainless steel exhaust system the list of the detail is endless.

The exciting part, engine Specification: Built to a high spec A+ with Calver unleaded head for modern fuel, Dodds RS CAM, 1.3 roller rocker gear, fully balanced and bored to 1380 cc. Fully dyno tested at 101 BHP running, fitted with highly rated HIF38 carburettors. The gearbox has been custom made with A+ gear set, centre pick up with a lightened flywheel and a later Austin Metro Turbo clutch was fitted in order to cope with the power.

Braking system: Lockhead 5.5 S servo, Cooper S master cylinder, Aeroquip brake hoses, KAD 7.75” vented brake discs, KAD 4 pot callipers, Alloy Superfin rear brake drums and Titan brake proportioning valve.

Suspension: Braced and lightened 4 bolt front subframe, KAD billet uprights, KAD alloy drive flanges, HiLo trumpets, Adjustable lower arms, Smiffys stainless tie rods, ST bushes throughout, Late type, steering rack with mondo sport arms, rear lightened and stiffened subframe, GAZ shocks all round, Retrosport hubs, KAD adjustable camber brackets, KAD rear anti-roll bar, Poly bushed rear, DSN subframe trunnions and yellow spot sport donuts.
