The Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998, a large luxury saloon car that replaced the previous Bentley Turbo saloon. Built in Crewe from 1998 to 2009, the Arnage and its Rolls-Royce sibling, the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the spring of 1998 and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced.
The Arnage Green Label was to be powered by the BMW V8 engine with Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo chargers but the Red Label employed the more preferable 6.75 litre Bentley powerplant and was, for a brief time, the most powerful and fastest four door saloon on the market.
The exterior is finished is the truly stunning and rare colour of Sunrise, the paint is un-marked and truly glistens in the sun. This Arnage red label sits on 19” 12 spoke Chrome alloy wheels.
As soon as you open the door you are met by an abundance of Birds Eye Maple veneer and Magnolia Hide, whether in the front or rear the Arnage certainly one of the most comfortable Bentleys ever built. The interior truly wants for nothing and matches the quality of the exterior.
The engine has covered a mere 48,000 miles which is barely run in the 6.75 litre BMW unit. Road handling, acceleration and stopping power are all excellent, the high level of maintenance is apparent as soon as you pull away.

Before becoming a mere subsidiary to Rolls-Royce, Bentley was an independent Automaker famous for the "fastest lorries in the world" e.i Bentley 4½ Litre.Good ol' Bentley boys (A group of wealthy British motorists, mainly Woolf Barnato, Sir Henry "Tim" Birkin, steeplechaser George Duller, aviator Glen Kidston, S.C.H. "Sammy" Davis, and Dr Dudley Benjafield ) -in their trusty Bentley cars- took four consecutive victories at 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930
In 1931 Bentley was taken over British Central Equitable Trust that later proved to be a front for Rolls-Royce Limited. Unhappy with his role at Rolls-Royce, W.O. Bentley left the company when his contract expired in 1935 duly joining Lagonda. This was beginning of which ultimately led Bentley cars to become more or less badge-engineered Rolls-Royce.
