Affectionately known as “Annie” this MKVI first started life as a standard steel bodied MKVI saloon. This is not your usual case of an un-loved MKVI chassis being built up into a special, LVM 968 had in fact been well maintained and was garaged in excellent condition. In 1994 was fire damaged in the owners’ garage and it was at this point the current owner purchased her with the vision to create a magnificent roadster.
The chassis was lowered, various cosmetic adjustments made to the chassis irons, engine and gearbox which were moved back 260mm. Every mechanical and electrical component on the car was checked and overhauled by the renowned experts Sergeants of Goudhurst over a three year period.
The body was designed by the owner, who tasked J C Pitney and Sons with creating his masterpiece. The long, sweeping boat tail design is striking from every angle, and has many Bugatti-esque features.
The complete build amounted to 8 years and less than 1,300 miles have been covered since then. To drive she is well balanced and powerful, the engine is smooth and sweet,  a true delight on the road.
In our showroom and ready for viewing.

About Bentley
Before becoming a mere subsidiary to Rolls-Royce, Bentley was an independent Automaker famous for the "fastest lorries in the world" e.i Bentley 4½ Litre.

Good ol' Bentley boys (A group of wealthy British motorists, mainly Woolf Barnato, Sir Henry "Tim" Birkin, steeplechaser George Duller, aviator Glen Kidston, S.C.H. "Sammy" Davis, and Dr Dudley Benjafield ) -in their trusty Bentley cars- took four consecutive victories at 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930

In 1931 Bentley was taken over British Central Equitable Trust that later proved to be a front for Rolls-Royce Limited. Unhappy with his role at Rolls-Royce, W.O. Bentley left the company when his contract expired in 1935 duly joining Lagonda. This was beginning of which ultimately led Bentley cars to become more or less badge-engineered Rolls-Royce.
