Chevrolet Custom 350 V8 1956

General description : 1956 Chevrolet BelAir When Chevrolet designed the tri five cars they just did it right.  When these cars are restored they have the potential to be beautiful show cars that blow all others away.  From the two tone color combos to the chrome and trim these cars run circles around your modern day cars in terms of style.  Show anyone this classic '56 and I'm sure they will agree they just don't make them like they used to.  The popular 1956 Chevrolet body is laser straight and coated in a beautiful blue and white that really pops.  Next to all that blue the trim really shines and stands out.  The grill and bumpers are all in beautiful condition and have zero rust or pitting.  Mirrors, emblems, door handles, headlight rings, window trim, keyhole, the list goes on and on of the immaculate chrome you will find on this car.  All of the exterior lights and electrical are working just as they should and need no repair.  This car is complete.  It has a perfect stance and rides on a set of polished custom wheels with fresh tires. The crate 350 V8 is practically new but certainly looks a lot different than it did when bought.  It is now covered with chrome everywhere you look and has a great shine.  The block and heads have been painted to match the car which creates a very clean appearance.  Especially when you top that nice cleanly painted block with a polished manifold, chrome alternator, chrome valve covers, and much more.  To give it a slightly unique appearance a polished bat wing air cleaner is in place instead of the stock circular style and really fits right in.  The power brake booster is also chrome with nice polished hardlines and disc brakes in front.  The car runs cool at all times with the aid of a polished aluminum radiator and electric fans.  If you think corners were cut on this classic guess again, even the battery has a special chrome tie down!  Still not enough? Look up!  All of the under hood hardware was even sent off to be chromed!   Backing the engine is a newly rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission that shifts very well and with perfect timing.  All of the electrical is in place and works just as it should.  An all new CC1 wiring harness was just installed so not only does it work but is very cleanly mounted and routed.  This car is just as much luxurious as it is stylish with a McGaughty 605 power steering kit that makes driving a breeze. The interior on this car is very beautifully done in matching blue and white leather that is extremely comfortable.  All of the original style knobs and switches are in place throughout and are in great condition.  The only one missing is the window crank which has been replaced with a switch to operate the specialty electric windows.  Adding to that list of luxuries is the Vintage AC/Heat system which works very well with no issues.  It utilizes well mounted vents which even have the Chevy bowtie logo on them.  All of the dash trim and instrumentation is left primarily original because how could you improve on such a perfect look.  The only thing that changes it up is the polished tilt steering column that is topped with a billet steering wheel and an aftermarket AM/FM/MP3 player.  The trunk is finished out nicely as well and has a hidden storage compartment under BelAir doors which houses the 12 disc CD changer.  This car is ready to be driven.  Nothing needs to be done to this classic because it is already an awesome show car! With all the time and money invested in this custom it is worth way more then the price of $47,500.00!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
