Chevrolet Nomad 468 CID SuperCharged V8 1972

General description : Up for sale in our Detroit Showroom is a menacing 1972 Chevrolet Nomad SS Tribute with enough power to rip the pavement up from underneath it. This SS 454 Tribute wagon is dressed in Victory Red with Polar White SS stripes going down the Cowl Induction hood. All factory style 454 SS badges and stripes are in the proper locations and the Rally wheels are painted to match the Victory Red paint. Powering this wagon is a 468cid Big Block Chevy with oval port 761 cylinder head castings. This is a complete Roller Motor with Hydraulic Roller Cam, Roller Lifters, Forged Internals and Roller Rocker Arms. The air intake is a Team G Single Plane with a 850 Demon Double-Pump Carburetor which is needed to force the right amount of fuel and air into this monstrous Nomad. The big power adder comes courtesy a Procharger D1S-C Supercharger with intercooler and custom powder-coated piping. The transmission is a completely rebuilt TH400 with a B&M 2400 Stall Converter. To make sure this Nomad can translate power to pavement, lots of suspension work has been done to make this Nomad handle like a sports car. The front suspension has B.R.E. Tubular front upper and lower A-Arms and 1” Progressive rate lowering springs. The rear suspension is also sporting B.R.E. tubular upper and lower control arms which allow you to point this Nomad straight and achieve that direction. Lakewood Ladder bars have been powder coated Victory Red and the 12 Bolt GM rear end has a nice looking Trick Flow differential support cover. The interior on this Nomad is just as impressive as the extensive restoration work that has been done. The race style two tone seats up front make sure you and your passenger are planted while shredding some rubber. This interior takes “business up front and party in the back” to a whole new level. This is the ultimate grocery getter and puts enough power down to make anybody question if their sports car is even worth it. If you have ANY questions on this Nomad, call us at 313.982.3100. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
