Chevrolet C20 1971

General description : This rustic ol'1971 Chevrolet C20 Wrecker is available in our Louisville KY showroom. The second generation or 68-72 C/K series trucks are some of the most sought after trucks ever built. There simple design and absolute total ruggedness helps to lend themselves too many different kind of builds. This particular one was built for the sole purpose if helping people in need. That’s right this has been a wrecker its whole life but not just anyone's wrecker, this was the owners ride. That’s right this well maintained one owner truck was owned by the same person until just 6 months ago. The patina on the outside gives it a fabulous and cool shop truck look. With everything working this would make for a great marketing tool if you have a tow business. Under the hood the all original 350 small block still has plenty of life left given that the odometer shows a little fewer than 74k miles which is believed to be actual mileage. The original transmission still shifts out nicely and the body itself is in great shape with no signs of rust and being 100% original this is very rare find. Open the door and you will notice the frame is covered in stickers. Those stickers show every oil change from the first one in 1971. The bench seat just like the rest of the truck is untouched and completely original as well. Under the dash you will notice a truckers best friend, the CB which in this cab was used to make sure the other guys we're doing their job. With the optional AC all there but not working this was a high end "work" truck for back then. There are a lot of these square body second generation C/K trucks are really a staple in the hotrod community so wouldn't it be cool to come pick up your buddy's broke down Ford in this, seems like that alone is worth the cost of admission. Options on this 1971 Chevrolet C20 Wrecker include AC, AM Radio, Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Vinyl/Cloth Interior, with Radial Tires on the front and Bias Ply on the back. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
