The Corvette was built by the Chevrolet division of General Motors over six generations. The first model, a convertible, was designed by Harley Earl and introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept show car.
The National Corvette Museum documents the car's worldwide history and hosts an annual event. The third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, was introduced for the 1968 model year and lasted until 1982.
The fourth generation Corvette was the first all-new Corvette since 1963 with production beginning on 3rdJanuary, 1983 and delivery to customers from March 1983. The C4 Corvette was known for its evolved, sleek and modern look and was also the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback for better storage access. It also had all new brakes with aluminium calipers.
The Corvette C4 came standard with an electronic dashboard with a digital liquid crystal display dash, with graphics for speed and RPM and digital displays for other important engine functions.
This striking, low mileage Corvette C4 Targa was comes to us in excellent condition. Having covered a mere 14,000 miles, it is of no surprise that the paint and leather are still in great condition.

About Corvette C4
The Corvette C4 was a major redesign of the Corvette model, which was introduced in 1984 and produced until 1996. It was a departure from the previous C3 model and brought back many of the classic Corvette styling elements.The C4 had a more streamlined, aerodynamic design with a shorter hood and longer body than the C3. It featured a completely new chassis with a new suspension system and upgraded brakes, as well as an all-new electronic engine management system. The C4 also introduced new features such as a digital dashboard display and a keyless entry system.
Throughout its production, the C4 went through several iterations, including the ZR-1, which was powered by a high-performance 5.7-liter V8 engine that produced 405 horsepower.
